The Trihoofalon will return

in 2020 -- see you then!

Trihoofalon is a one-of-a-kind team relay race consisting of three phases -- a 5K run, an 8.5 mile bike ride, and a show jumping round -- held to benefit the Union Vale Fire District in 2018.

But what makes the Trihoofalon really unique is the spirited and colorful fun it inspires -- including imaginative team costumes that have had competitors running, cycling and jumping as characters from The Wizard of Oz, Disney, the Royal Family, Incredibles Three Blind Mice, Fruit Loops and more!

Whatever attire (or persona) you choose (costumes are encouraged, but not required), there are lots of ways have a ball participating in the Trihoofalon:

  • Create your own team...or enter as an individual and we'll partner you with other individual athletes to form a team.

  • Build your team with one, two or three athletes who, combined, will complete the three phases. (Yes, we've actually had a one-woman/one-horse team dressed as Batman & Robin complete all three phases!)

  • If you are a runner craving a time trial, complete the 5K only.

  • If you are a cyclist craving a hard-core time trial challenge, continue through the 8.5 mile race to our extended 25-mile cycle course.

The team entry fee is $105; individual phases $35 each. All entrants receive a bib for the timed event, an event T-shirt (for entries received by 7/17) and the chance to win one of several division medals awarded in a post-race celebration. Not to mention the support and camaraderie from family, friends and volunteers who turn out to share in the fun.

Trihoofalon is sponsored by Crosswinds Equestrian Center and Union Vale Fire District, and supported by Goldman Sachs Gives. We look forward to seeing you there!
